History repeats for Anwar

Today history repeated itself . What happened to Dato Anwar Ibrahim in 1998 happens again today in 2008 . Anwar has been charged again with sodomy . In 1998 Anwar was accused of sodomising his family driver . Sodomising basically means @n@l $ex .

This time Anwar has been accused of sodomising his 23 year-old aide !! Hahahaha!!...What bullshit..Doesn't make sense at all . How does a 23 year-old man gets sodomised by a 60 year-old man ??!...Can't a 23 year-old fight and defend himself against a 60 year-old dude ??!

Common sense will tell you that this was all fabricated by two high-ranking minister's in the government . Can't they find a more believable reason to frame him ?..In 1998 they used this allegation to put him behind bars due to Anwar's conflict with Tun Mahathir .

Now their using the same reason ( no new ideas I guess ) because the current federal government is $hit-$c@red in their pants that Anwar might form a new government . If this happens , Dato Badawi , Dato Najib and the whole BN gang will line up in the unemployed line . They will become jobless...'penganggur' .

Another reason is because recently Anwar found evidence implicating Inspector General of Police Musa Hassan and Attorney General Gani Patail of misconduct and fabricating evidence against him in 1998 . He said he wanted to produce this evidence in court . So they try to put him behind bars again for the same reason .

Now the theory is that the sodomised guy , Mr Saiful Bukhari Azlan , was planted as a mole (spy) by BN into PKR just before the elections . This was to bring Anwar down when he starts to be a pain for the government...which is now ...There is evidence . Assassination threats has also been sent to Anwar . Is this what our country has come to ? Have we lost all our morals ? This just shows how desperate and greedy politicians can be when it comes to power . Even if this is true , it's still funny because the "victim" lost his virginity to an old man!!

The Altantuya Murder Trial Story in Short

Altantuya Shaariibuu...R.I.P

Basically the story goes like this ...Altantuya Shaariibuu was a Mongolian woman . She came to Malaysia in 2005 or 2006 . Altantuya was an interpreter and could speak a few languages including Russian . She met Mr. Abdul Razak Baginda who was the defense analyst for the Malaysian Strategic Research Centre .

It was reported that she was assigned by Baginda for the submarine business that was run by Datuk Najib bin Razak with France . She started having an affair with Baginda and Baginda started to give her alot of money . Later , Baginda stopped giving money to her . On Oct 8 2006 , she went to Baginda's office and house several times to look for him but was stopped by his security guards .

Later , she apparently hired a private detective to find out more Baginda . On Oct 19 2006 , she received a phone call to meet Abdul Razak at his house. When she showed up outside his house, she was allegedly seized by several men, bundled into a car and driven away. She was taken to a secluded deep forest near the Subang Dam in Puncak Alam , Shah Alam .

She was shot twice and blown up by two officers from the Special Action Unit with C-4 explosives . Those two officers were the former bodyguards of Datuk Najib . Out of the many mysteries of this case , one thing that I wonder is how did they get the C-4 explosives which shouldn't have been reached to any security or police personnel without the approval of the highest body of the Defence Ministry (which is headed by Najib) ? ?

It is said that she was murdered because she was bugging Baginda too much and also because she knew secret and confidential information about Datuk Najib bin Razak's submarine business . During the trial , Altantuya's cousin , Burmaa Oyunchimeg , stated that she had seen a picture of Baginda , Datuk Najib , and Altantuya having dinner together .

Then came in Raja Petra Kamaruddin a.k.a RPK who wrote a controversial article about Datuk Najib's involvement in the case . The article can be seen here . RPK is a member of the Selangor royal family . He has an informant in the government that tells him about the government's secrets .

RPK then made a statutory declaration which can be seen here , claiming that Datuk Najib's wife , Datin Rosmah Mansor was at the scene of the crime and that Acting Colonel Aziz Buyong was the person who placed the C-4 on Altantuya's body while being witnessed by Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor and Buyong's wife , Norhayati ...and the case goes on...RPK plans to show his evidence in court by the end of the year . I hope now you have a better understanding of this case..I also hope that justice is prevailed in the end .

Datuk Nik Aziz Says Serban Same as Helmet ??!

In today's New Straits Times , I read the article titled 'Nik Aziz: Serban same as helmet ' . I was quite amused by it . He stated that a serban offers the motorcyclist the same protection as a crash helmet . Datuk Nik Aziz was referring to a recent case of a motorcyclist who was summoned by the police for not wearing a helmet . The motorcyclist was wearing a serban . Please do not misunderstand this article as an insult to Muslims . I am referring to the statement of Datuk Nik Aziz .

Motorcyle helmets are made from hard types of plastic are sometimes reinforced with kevlar or carbon fiber . They generally have fabric and foam interiors for both comfort and protection . A serban is made of simple cloth which is wound around the head and is worn mainly by Sikhs whose faith requires them to cover their long uncut hair and some religious Muslims . Now the question is..between a cloth and a motorcycle helmet, which is harder ?...You don't need a scientist to answer that question .

In conclusion , a helmet is definitely safer than a serban . So to all the motorcyle riders..with exception to the Sikhs and religious Muslims ;)..please wear a helmet when you ride a motorcyle . As the the local Malay advertisemnet says..Sayangi nyawa anda...fikirlah tentang orang yang tersayang...pakailah topi keledar . Pandu cermat , jiwa selamat .... ;)..it means..love your life , think of your loved ones , wear a helmet . Drive/ride safely and your life is safe .

Logging Plan of Kedah Menteri Besar Is Just Wrong

I felt really disgusted when I read the words of the Menteri Besar ( State Minister ) of Kedah in today's New Straits Times . Mr. Azizan Abdul Razak himself said "I am now saying timber is also God's gift and I want to make money from it. What's wrong with that?"...Does that sound like a smart and educated person to you ? He is destroying the assets of Kedah . He plans to log RM16 billion worth of timber at the Ulu Muda forest reserve to make money as he has said himself .

The area is a water catchment area upstream from a village and is about twice the size of Singapore . 63,000 farmers are protesting this idea of his . He says that only a "few" trees will be cut down...but the fact is..Sahabat Alam Malaysia honorary secretary R. Meenakshi, estimates that about about one million trees would be chopped down . If this plan is approved by the Federal Government , the people there will eventually suffer from floods , drought , loss of crops , contaminated water or possibly even the lack of it . The farmers there will also lose their source of income . This plan of his will turn a part of Kedah into a big dessert..Isn't he paying attention to the global trend of going green ?

This forest has a tremendous value to the state and the people there . Mr. Azizan is just killing the goose that lays the golden eggs . He was elected to work for the improvement of the state...not to rape it for its source of life . He even has the audacity to tell his critics that they are they should not be too obsessed with caring for the environment "like parents who are extremely obsessed with their offspring" . Parents who are "obsessed" with their children are just over protective because they love their kids...this is the environment we're talking about .

Besides , 63,000 farmers are protesting...is he saying that they are obsessed with the environment ? He says he wants to make money..but why this way ? The government is paying him millions of Ringgit worth of all sorts of allowances to him as a minister . Remember that the government saves RM 2 billion just by cutting 10% of the entertainment allowance of all ministers . Even if his plan is approved by the Federal Government and he makes millions or maybe billions out of it..I doubt that he will be using any of that money for Kedah . Moreover , Ulu Muda is a forest reserve..he can't log a forest reserve !! . Anyway , I just hope that his plan will not be approved .

Being Spoon Fed Takes You Nowhere

Spoon feeding is a situation where an individual or individuals are given everything they need by a source without having to really work for it . They do not have to take any sort of action in order to achieve what they want . Spoon feeding works on the concept of " enjoy now...suffer later''....whereas individuals who take actions to achieve whatever they want work by the concept of " work now for enjoyment later " . People who are spoon fed for everything are usually lazy people . They do not really know how to get things done on their own . The mental capacity may be a bit limited as they are not fully exposed to the outside world .

People who are spoon fed and given everything for their benefit will never move out of their shell as they have become dependent on the source that provides their needs . When the provider is no longer around , that individual will be lost and left behind . This is a story about a fisherman and his son . Everyday the fisherman fishes for the son..if the fisherman fishes for the son , the son's stomach is full for the day...but if the son is taught to fish for himself , he will be full forever . Therefore , we should work for what we want in order to have the true pride of our achievements .

The Buried Idea of the Brickendonbury Sports Complex

  I know that this is old news , but I'd like to talk about our government's proposed and rejected idea of building a sports complex called the High-Performance Training Centre (HPTC) at the Tun Abdul Razak Research Centre (TARRC) in Brickendonbury,London . This was proposed by the government early last year ...and all I have to say is...what a dumbass idea it was .

  The government was willing to spend RM 68 million on this project . Let me remind you again that this is the public's money . It was planned that this sports centre would have a football field , swimming pool , cricket pitch , canteen and all that stuff . Why on earth do we need that ? The government has already spent many millions of ringgit on the Bukit Jalil National Sports Complex , Bukit Jalil Sports School , PKNS Sports Centre and other places which already has the exact same facilities as the centre proposed to be built in London .

  As you know , the standards of Malaysian sports has dropped drastically over the years . This is simply because of the selection and mindset of our sports players . It is without a doubt that Malaysia has excellent sports centres for the players to train . What makes the government think that the players can improve if their sent to London ? Even with all our superb facilites , Malaysia still lost last year in football 2-0 to Iran and 5-0 to Uzbekhistan .That's just embarrassing . These countries are having a political turmoil , are at war , barely have any sports centres or fields to play on , mostly consist of desserts...yet they can beat us flat .

  Just shows how spirited and determined their players are unlike us . Every year in Malaysian football there will surely be a player arrested for possessing drugs , fighting and so on . What our players need is discipline and less pampering . Only then will they be able to paly their game better . We have all the facilities right here already . It's just the players that need to change themselves .

Is Proton Worth Having ?

With the rising costs of fuel , electricity , food and water , ..the cost of living has also increased rapidly . Yet , many of us still dream of having that car that we have always wanted..like a Mercedes , BMW , Audi , Honda , Toyota and so on . Did you know that before Proton was formed , we had Mercedes cars as taxi's ?..cool right.. However , our National Automotive Policy (NAP) and automotive industry has been designed in such a way by our government that we are basically left with one option of a car...Proton .

Proton was formed in 1983 . It was the vision of Tun Mahathir as he wanted Malaysia to have its own national car , show that Malaysia can compete with international vehicle brands..bla bla bla ...but the thing is , after 25 years in the business , Proton still can't produce high quality cars yet alone design most of the models themselves . All Proton cars especially from the 80's and 90's are just rebadged Mitsubishi cars . For example , the Saga is a copy of the 1985 Mitsubishi Foire , the Wira has the headlights of a 1992 Mitsubishi Colt , and tail lights from the 1987 Mitsubishi Galant hatchback . Today Proton just copies the design of Mitsubishi cars..but build it on their own..with the help of Lotus..which sucks too .

After 25 years , Proton still can't fit in materials for the dashboard that won't fall off after a few months , still can't make sure that the power windows won't get jammed , still can't fit power steering as a standard feature in all their models , still can't fully design its own cars , and still needs the protection of the government to survive . In order for Proton to survive , import tax , sales tax and all the other types of taxes were increased drastically . Some new type of taxes were also added . The import tax of foreign-made vehicles were 140% to 300%(depending on the engine capacity) !! . So the government has wiped out the competition and paved the way for Proton to succeed .

Later on , about 3 years ago , the NAP was revised..the government started giving less protection to Proton..Since then , Proton has only been making losses and sales dropped terribly . Many people started to buy foreign-made cars of better quality..Even our ministers rarely travel in Protons..only in official government meetings they use their Protons . On other occassions they will come in Mercedes , BMW , Jaguar and so on . I've seen it myself ..Tun Mahathir came to my school in a BMW 7 Series..Dato Seri Hishammuddin bin Tun Hussein also came to my school in a Jaguar I think ...and all the other unknown ministers who follow them like a posse will also come in those kind of vehicles..why aren't they proud to come in a Proton ?

The bottom line is , as prices of fuel increases , prices of vehicles should be decreased ...and this can only be fully implemented when Proton is shut down . More hybrid cars can also be sold in the country at a cheaper price compared to the ridiculous prices now . I realise that many people will lose their jobs , but in the long run , i feel this would be the best decision for the entire nation as millions of people can benefit from this . The public's financial burden can be decreased and people can finally get a better chance to own their dream car...Besides , what's wrong if Proton shuts down when we already have the way more successful Perodua as a national automobile manufacturer?..

Billions of Ringgit...Gone to Waste

I don't know if you realise it , but our government has wasted many billions of ringgit over the years on unnecessary projects which have not really gained much profit in any way since their construction . Lets not forget that the billions of ringgit is the money of tax payers ( your money ) .

For example , last year we sent the first Malaysian into outer space . Just into outer space . Not even to the moon which was done by Neil Armstrong in 1966 . Dr Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor was sent into outer space to just 'lepak' (hang around) there for ten days . This "feat" was not even done with our own technology . We had to pay the Russians to send him to space . Moreover , many countries before us has achieved this such as America , Russia , China , France , Germany , India , Afghanistan , Japan , Israel & the list goes on and on . Our prime minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said that this feat would put Malaysia on the world map..but he forgot that Malaysia was already famous thanks to our former prime minister Tun Mahathir . After the "great feat" , what have we gained ?...just some headlines in the local newspapers & small articles in the foreign newspapers under the world news section . Has Malaysia done any other further space research development of any kind after the "feat" ?...No...There goes RM95 million of our hard earned money . The bad news..we lost big bucks..The good news..Russia earned big bucks & Dr Muszaphar got a free trip to space .

Another precious project of ours is the Petronas Twin Towers . It was the world's tallest building from 1998-2004..a mere 6 years . This record was beaten by the Taipei 101 which is in Taiwan . The Taipei 101 also lost that record and that record was held by a few other buildings over the years...& today our twin towers is the 6th tallest building in the world . Now the Petronas Twins Towers is just another 'lepak' spot & a shopping mall specifically for the filthy rich & has a few offices of not-so-famous companies . Yet hardly anybody shops there as the prices are sky-high & most people do their shopping in supermarkets like Carrefour , Jusco & Tesco . Even for the expensive stuff , most people buy them in places like Megamall , One Utama , Sunway Pyramid & Berjaya Times Square . Hardly any tourists go there either . I don't think many of them would want to see the 6th tallest building in the world...do you ?..Well , it's only RM 1.8 billion down the drain .

Then there is the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) . It might be very high tech & a very nice building to look at from the outside...but inside , it's half empty . This airport was built to replace the Subang Airport . There was nothing wrong with the Subang Airport in the first place . It was only a bit smaller...but it was way more convenient for the public to access as it was way nearer then the KLIA..The KLIA is ironically not even in KL , it's in Sepang which is under the state of Selangor . Today KLIA is the main international airport of Malaysia while a small part of the Subang airport is handling a few local flights , the rest of the building has been left to rot . Was a airport so huge , so high tech & so far away from KL necessary while the Subang airport was doing so well ? I guess we can kiss the RM 8.8 billion spent on constructing it goodbye .

Many billions of Ringgit were also wasted on Putrajaya and Cyberjaya . Putrajaya is just a big piece of land where all the government administrative buildings were transfered to from KL . Whereas Cyberjaya is the "silicon valley" of Malaysia . These two places are actually ghost cities . There are hardly any people there . So much of land has been wasted due to the buildings built so far apart from each other as if one is if one is in a dessert . One of the reasons these two places ended up as failed projects was because they lack schools or colleges to pursue their education . The prices of houses there are also very high..but the main reason is because these places do not have access to public transport..which means its impossible to take public transport like trains or buses to travel to and from KL . Therefore hardly anybody goes to Putajaya or Cyberjaya except the ministers . With all the tolls and high fuel prices..who would want to go there anyway ? There goes RM 60 billion .

Another waste is Proton and the almost built High Performance Training Centre (HPTC) at the Tun Abdul Razak Research Centre (TARRC) in Brickendonbury, Britain..but I'll write about that in a separate article . All this money flushed down the toilet could have been used for so many other better purposes..such as improving public transport and healthcare facilities , upgrading and renovating highly populated places like Chow Kit , Petaling Street and Brickfields , helping the poor , provide better facilities for the disabled , reduce crime crates , used the money to give out more scholarships to deserving students and even t0 subsidise the price of fuel..maybe then Malaysians would have been able to enjoy cheaper fuel prices for a little while longer .

I hope the government will not waste the money of the people on useless projects anymore and realise that it's unnecessary to create the biggest , tallest or most expensive projects in the world unless they are really beneficial and needed by the public . No doubt that these projects has made Malaysia famous , but they didn't have to be built on such a extravagant scale . To bad these projects were not planned out properly . Or else Malaysia could have saved quite a bit of money .

TOLL..Lower Rates Please ;)

Any Malaysian would know that Malaysia has many toll booths(thanks to my favourite Dato..hehe..)..Some of the toll rates here are ridiculous..to know the rates...kindly visit http://www.plus.com.my/tollcalculator.asp . Most of the roads and highways with tolls today were built many many years ago...some even decades ago..Yet , the rates either go down by a wee bit , or they get higher .

Technically , a toll is a system where the money collected is used to pay for the compensation payment to companies for building highways or to pay companies that maintains highways (in Malaysia's case , the company is PLUS ) . As the years pass , the rates of should decrease and the toll booths be removed due to the settled payments to companies for building the tolls . As for maintainence , a certain sum of the money collected should be put aside and allocated for the maintainance work . However , that is not the case here.

Here , tolls are everywhere demanding for $$$ . For example , the toll on the Seremban Highway before entering Cheras has been there for over 10 years , maybe 20 . Yet it stands till today demanding higher rates..After all these years , haven't enough money been collected for the construction and maintaince payments of the highway ? Tolls make billions of ringgit per year you know . On top of that we have road tax which is not cheap depending on the vehicle you drive.

Now lets take an example of a person who uses the toll daily..

Imagine a person who is using Kesas Highway from Klang To K.L.(To & From)(That means - using a full package on this Highway).Past Toll Rate = RM1.50 per toll x 6 tolls = RM9.00 per day .Present Toll Rate = RM2.20 per toll x 6 tolls = RM13.20 per dayDifferent = RM0.70 per tollFor 1 day = RM0.70 x 6 tolls (To & From)= RM4.20 a day . Normal Working Days for Normal Person = 240days a year . For One Year = 240days x RM4.20= RM1,008.00 (Different - Old & Present)As such, present Toll Rate = RM13.20/day x 240 days= RM3,168 per yearBut Some Guyz Work for 365 days a year . For One Year = 365days x RM4.20= RM1,533.00 (Different - Old & Present)Full Toll Rate Calculation = RM13.20/day x 365 days= RM4,818 per year . For others toll ; you can calculate on your own... using the same method . If Average Malaysian Salary is RM2000.00 a month , (For easy calculation purpose) , that's means he/she will be spending his/her 2 months salary a year just to pay on the toll.

Clearly this is a big burden for the average Malaysian . Lets not forget of the price hike in fuel and food . Survival is no longer as easy as it use to be . Therefore , to lower the financial burden of the people , the unnecessary high toll rates should either be lowered or removed completely .
