Our Education System Must Change!!

Ever noticed how some of our parents and elders seem to know so much about the world..how some old politicians ( except Bush and a few others..hehe ;) ) can speak off hand about almost anything ? ...Well, it simply because our parents and elders learnt more then us in school..simple as that..The generation of our parents got their education by following the British education system which is well known to be one of the best education systems in the world . Malaysia was very lucky to be invaded by the British , if not , who knows what system of education we would be using .

However, with the current education system,we have been turned into robots to memorise facts and vomit them out on paper . When the exam is over..all that was learnt is forgotten . That is simply because the morality of teacher's have changed..I shall write a separate article on that soon . In today's subjects such as history and geography , almost all of the things we learn revolves around Malaysia . In fact, what we learn in those subjects are mostly a repetition of what we learnt in our previous years..silly isn't it..It is sad for me that our parents got to learn so much about the world and we only know about this small part of the world :( ...maybe thats the government's way to increase our patriotic spirit??

As for the standard of exams..did you know that our PMR English paper is of the same standard as the Singapore English syllabus for primary level 3?..low isn't it..Even the text books today have shrinked so many times from the text books our parents used..it's good and bad in certain ways..but overall,i think its bad..because in the long run,the quantity of what we learn doesn't really matter..its the quality of knowledge that counts..

Psss....(to the Ministry of Education of Malaysia)...we are not lab rats or guinea pigs for you to be experimenting with our education..you're playing with our future..just go back to the successfully proven British education system..end of story .

First of all, I would like to say thanks to this guy for what he did to me. He did an amazing blog (Please read). He is the first one who inspires me and makes me change my view in every aspect. I guess everyone know his name, Satish Sran. He is the best guy I’ve ever met in my life. I must say person like him is totally extinct in this world. I’m so proud of him and appreciate to have such a valuable friend like him. I decided to be the first one to drop him a comment. =) He wrote a perfect blog among all the blog outside. He gets a great point at politician and education system in Malaysia. Malaysia Boleh = Malaysia tak boleh actually. Girls outside, please notice that he is the right MEN always and forever to know. I swear to God, if his not please come and I will refund you with my head. I’m looking forward for your update.
God bless.
Take care my dear friend.

hi azfar...what I mean from 'successfully proven british education system' is like the people who studied under this system..their range of knowledge is wider then ours...because they learnt more about the world..not like us...study bout msia only...ilmu sempit..n their exams like here spm,pmr,upsr..they dont count by A+,A-,B+, B-,C...,D,G...they count by something like points n then come out with distinction , credit ,pass or fail...so the students not A crazy like us la..their system u wont c students takin 20 subjects like crazy..in kolej aso for them not 1 teacher mark..a few teacher's mark so that marks r justified fairly n a certain standard is maintained..for msia local universities especially , only 1 lecturer mark...so not much transparency or standard maintained..students at secondary schools at around form 2 ridy r given a choice 2 take what subjects they want..so they don't sit for 10 subjects like us ..in which some subjects r irrelavant..i think for u to get more in depth info on dis..i suggest u c http://www.brightworld.co.uk/s... and http://www.aston.ac.uk/interna.../ ...i hope i managed 2 answer ur question..tc n keep in touch k.
